Specifications & Features: Acer Liquid Jade & Liquid E700
Acer Liquid E700
This phone includes a classic brick-like form factor using its 5 inch HD display and matte finishing at the back. Reminds us of those BlackBerry Curve and Bold devices which have been quite popular amongst professionals for quite a while.
There is big-size 3,500 mAh battery backing up the phone, so that business users can take advantage of it worrying about the battery left within the device and also saves them the irritation of carrying portable chargers. It doesn’t have any kind of appeal when it comes to design or style which hardly matters for its target user segment.
However, the phone is pretty heavy as opposed to Jade, for numbers Liquid E700 weighs 155 grams and is 9.5 mm thick. The only real place it will feel comfortable, is the pocket. The camera has a shutter button right beneath the camera lens, reminiscent towards the LG G3.
The display should satisfy most users, based on their position but with IPS panel installed together with Corning Glass 3, protection continues to be Acer’s prime focus with the E700. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat version, the phone carries a different interface than the majority of what we have seen till now.
It comes down packing with quad-core Mediatek processor which is 1.2 GHz with 2GB RAM and offering 16GB expandable storage. Probably the most intriguing part about the phone is its 3-SIM slot option which makes it one of the rare tri-SIM smartphones in the country.
Acer Liquid Jade
First thing you feel concerning the Jade is the sleekness and it is lightweight nature. With a 7.5 mm thickness and weighing 110 grams, Jade is among the lightest phones available in the country. Besides its dimension, little else feels premium or even mid-range for instance.
The phone comes sporting a 5 inch HD display and running Android 4.4 KitKat version. The rear finishing is more like cheap device or any Samsung Galaxy phone of yesteryears, although it feels delicate and highly glossy anyway and also prone to smudges.
The speaker continues to be placed at the back and unlike for E700 which will pose the well-documented audio issues while talking.
Another big letdown with Jade continues to be Acer’s apparent desire to clunk down the hardware to support better sizing. Yes, you will find a 13MP rear snapper however they could have atleast managed to better the quad-core powered Mediatek CPU having a better variant and support the 2 GB RAM from E700.
Also, the shiny Jade will exhaust juice real quick (so, we assume) mainly because of the 2,100 mAh battery loaded up. Liquid Jade might have the beauty on its side but it is no beast like the Liquid E700.
