BlackBerry has launched the Priv Android smartphone in India. It packs a 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, is powered by an Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with BlackBerrys own features and apps, including DTEK by BlackBerry for Android that lets you know when your privacy could be at risk so you can take action to improve it. It has an 18-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash, OIS, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Blackberry has equipped the Priv smartphone with a powerful 18 Megapixels primary camera on its rear panel. The front panel of the handset boasts of a 5 Megapixels selfie snapper that is ideal for clicking selfies and video calling. However, we would not be too excited about the camera quality on the new handset as Blackberry devices are not exactly known for their cameras.


Being a prime and debut Android handset from the Canadian manufacturer, Blackberry Priv comes with support for both 4G LTE and 3G. It also boasts of features like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, microUSB and GPS.
