Entry level Nokia Asha 501 SmartPhone

Entry level Nokia Asha 501 SmartPhone

Nokia 501 is an upcoming entry level smartphone with Nokia’s own series 40 touch OS.

Nokia has seen a falling graph in the midst of cheap Android phones. Indonesian Telecom Authorities recently certified Nokia Asha 501 and Nokia Asha 210 handsets, according to reliable sources. Indian and Chinese brands have flooded the mobile phone market with their cheap Android handsets at feature phone prices. To counter them, Nokia some time back launched its Asha 311 which had tasted immense success, especially in the Indian market. To counter the cheap Android smartphones, Nokia is planning to bring an entry level smartphone called Asha 501, according to @EVleaks which has posted some purported images of the handset on its Twitter account.

Nokia is rumored to launch the new Nokia Asha 501 entry level touchscreen phone loaded with Nokia’s own series 40 touch OS . Targeted at the young people , it will be available in various vibrant colors of Red , Yellow , Green , Pink , and Sky Blue . Probably this is one of the step Nokia is taking to counter the highly growing Android smartphones market . At one point Android is one of the key power behind Nokia’s sharp share decline in mobile phone’s market.

Nokia Asha 501

Nokia’s Asha series of handsets do not boast of best of the specifications but suit the budget of common man. Among Asha 501 and 210, 510 are believed to come with better specifications and Asha 210 is a feature phone. Budget friendly smartphones from good brands have a huge market in upcoming markets such as India. Presently Samsung is offering many low end budget friendly handsets.

  1. i like nokia asha 309, its amazing Hmmm….long battery life. I wonder if you took that cheap blade and turned off 3g you would get similar battery life. 3g is pretty heavy on the battery from what I hear.

  2. Over the years, Nokia has quietly improved the design of its entry level and budget mobile phones. A tight body shell and no creaky/moving parts in the phone make it usable normally and without extra care.
The operating system is the Series 40 Nokia OS with Full Touch implementation, which effectively looks like a cross between Symbian and Android. It’s nice and easy to find your way around using the scrollable icon-based menu which forms the home screen.

  3. hey vimal..i like asha 302…nokia Asha 302 comes between the Asha 300 and the Asha 303 in Nokia’s updated featurephone lineup, but it doesn’t quite follow the numerical order.
……….Although obviously not a smartphone, this S40 messenger is almost halfway there. It aims to bring good connectivity and more than reasonable processing power without unnecessarily complicating the interface.

  4. its my assumption that nokia’s mobile always smarter..so it also nice one smartphone from the Indonesian Telecoms authorities.i want to buy this nokia asha 501. i think it will perform good like other nokia asha series mobile phones.

  5. I am using samsung s3310 metro phone. this phone is not working properly. and i want to buy nokia asha 501 phone please suggest me where i can buy this phone.

  6. hello guys****** do explore an amazing thing in nokia asha 501 & asha 210? i did. i found that nokia asha 501 looks like aaple’s iphone handsets.

  7. This is amazing,Nokia asha 501 very nice-
    It’s a tripple “S” phone–“Smart,safe and strong”
    Let’s go guys—–¥¥

  8. This is really nice site. I loved it very much.

  9. ya STEVEN you right about asha 501.Nokia mobile Asha series which has become popular since their launch , these phones are packed with lot of amazing features and the best thing ..many asha series phones are priced low to fits users budget.

  10. It looks nice in picture..Hope some day I have one and this product has good quality features. Asha series is based on Series 40 operating system which has already been optimized for touch based phones. It has Smartphone like features like Notification, apps support (with quite a big app base) as it was developed for feature phones. Nokia is also providing free music, games and apps to sell its Asha phones.

  11. Well here what we see is the quick decline of Nokia which they are unable to stem thanks to such a rigid and stupid management. All know that the handset is priced around 6k but still nowadays Android is better option even though a bit sluggish. Only thing Nokia can do is understand quick that all windows strategy will ensure that we would see it soon in a museum. Only if Mr Elop can understand how to make Nokia Survive rather than Dive further and deeper. We all know what Nokia is and capable of but currently it’s something no one is interested in. This handset is good but now it’s not worth it.

  12. Nice One Again From Nokia Asha Mobile Phone. It’s contain good feature.

  13. I think Nokia Asha 501 is one of the best mobile phone in Asha series because it has 3.5-inch large screen display, 5 Megapixels camera with Fast and steady 1 GHz processor.

  14. It’s great news for nokia asha users ..nokia announced new Asha phone with a QWERTY keypad. nokia is trying to take new innovation in nokia mobiles series like lumia, asha.

  15. I dont know what on earth is wrong with those guys in Nokia labs! Gone are the days of a phone with a 64MB internal memory, 2MP camera with no flash, no multi-tasking or 64K screen, etc! But then that’s the problem with S40 OS.

  16. I use Asha 302 for last 5 months and this is one fantastic feature phone in its contemporary market. As influenced by features to be offered for new Asha 501, I am thinking to replace existing 302 with 501.

  17. hey fans do you know that how months of april and may are so busy for nokia? In the first 10 days of the month Nokia announced the Nokia Asha 210, Nokia Asha 501 and the Nokia Lumia 928 and today Nokia is expected to unveil a new Lumia smartphone.

  18. hello brothers……..Nokia seems to be covering its bases on Windows Phone. These Asha’s seem to be great phones with all the features one would use on a regular basis on a Smartphone, except that the battery actually lasts more than a day and they fit in one’s pocket. I think an Asha 501 is in my future.
