Fourth Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift: Features And Specifications

Some Japanese media reports have confirmed that the new Swift is expected to hit stores later this year. Motor ES and Which Car have shared the first spy shots of the new 2023 Maruti Suzuki Swift online, revealing interesting new details. 

The new Swift features a redesigned grille, sleeker headlamps with new LED internals, new alloy wheels, and new body panels. It will also be available in Swift Sport form. Swift Sport, as the sportier variant, has a more radical design with a more aggressive front fascia.

The all-new front end features bold LED headlamps, a sleek grille, new C-shaped air splitters with fog lamp housings, and a wider and lower air intake on the revised bumper. 

Other notable exterior features could include larger dual-tone alloy wheels, blacked-out pillars, faux air vents near the wheel arches, and a large roof-mounted spoiler.

Fourth Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift: Engine Specifications

Engine options will remain unchanged, with only minor changes to the powertrain expected. A Swift hybrid version is also expected in 2023, as well as a new Swift CNG. The standard model is powered by a 1.2-litre K12N Dualjet petrol engine that produces 89 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. This model comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, with the option of a 5-speed AMT. 

Swift Sport, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.4-litre BoosterJet turbo petrol engine. This engine produces 128 bhp at 5500 rpm and 230 Nm of peak torque between 2500 and 3000 rpm. A 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox handles transmission duties.
